Should i enable vertical sync wow
EDIT: The reason I started fiddling with this is because sometimes my entire computer freezes for about 1 minute and then resumes.
I still see the game frozen and the last played sound keeps looping. And suddenly it all comes back. I just changed it from Better Battery to Better Performance. I hope it will not repeat…. I am not particularly against Vsync. But I heard that it syncs the frames and thus eliminates screen tearing at the expence of performance. Performance, which my current hardware is not capable of. An example: When I run around in Wetlands and run through shallow waters, then those water ripples that appear create a noticeable lag.
Bnet launcher seems to display lots of videos and footages in the background - does it affect the performance in the game in any way - and is there a way to disable that? And you have only 4gb of memory which is shared between OS, applications and the graphic chip. The computer you are using is definitely not made for gaming.
Are you still running at p? Since you say you reduced the rendering scale. Try p and p. Other mode is Windowed but then I can see my desktop. You've decided to leave a comment. That's fantastic! Check out our comment policy here. Let's have a personal and meaningful conversation.

No, I really don't think it's the CPU. I believe your issue is more "Video" related, if I can call it that way. Make sure you have the latest drivers, check graphics card and CPU temperatures. Probably you should increase the number for pre-rendered frames.
From your description, it would seem you are experiencing lag spikes. Also, check RAM. It could be a defective module, or unstable voltage. You can try disabling Windows Firewall, too.
Your card uses 2 GPUs. Try setting a PhysX processor. Don't let it on Auto-select. See if there's also some sort of SLI check box. This leads me to believe that this is not an issue with my GPU. I currently have "Threaded Optimization" set to "On". I have also heard that World of Warcraft only uses three cores at most. I am not exactly sure how World of Warcraft is utilizing each of my cores though. My CPU has six physical cores, but after taking into account the Hyper Threading technology, it has a total of twelve cores six of them virtual.
I'm not sure how my World of Warcraft is spreading out the tasks, although I would prefer if it used any three of the physical cores other than the first core. This is why I have changed the config. I am not sure if that has done anything to resolve my issue as it is quite tough to recreate these freezes. I will definitely have to do more testing. This could be a HDD issue, but I have no evidence to support this claim.
I am simply trying to exhaust all possible options. The RAM could also very well be the culprit. I am running six sticks at MHz which is definitely quite a load to say the least. I did some simple testing with Prime95 Blend, and it showed stability, at least for the duration of the test I ran which definitely could have been more thorough.
